Should you wish to design your own rug, we can have it made for you at very reasonable prices. It could be anything, from a fire side rug, a fully fitted carpet in your room or a quality stair carpet. This will give you something unique which you will cherish for many years.
In addition to the handmade ranges, we stock a large selection of machine woven rugs in both modern and traditional designs. They will suite many situations where the budget does not allow for the more expensive hand made rugs.Learn More
We have an extensive Karndean Design Flooring Showroom installed in both our Sandyford and Kilkenny Shops. This display allows you to try out your own design ideas to create your own unique floor. With a Karndean floor, you can create a wood, stone or ceramic look, without the headaches of the natural product, no cracking, scratching, warping or expanding. These floors are extremely hard wearing, withstanding all the abuse a busy household can throw at them and are virtually maintenance free. Come and view the sample floors laid in our showroom, and be amazed at how realistic they look.Learn More
Hand Made rugs are real works of art. They take many months and in some cases years to create. The skills used are passed down from generation to generation. Many of these skills date back many thousands of years and remain largely unchanged. Most hand made rugs are the product of cottage industries in their countries of origin, often made in traditional dwellings in remote villages. This remains the case in countries such as India, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey. Some countries, such as China, have removed the skills from the villages, and consolidated the production in large factory complexes. I will attempt in this section to give you a flavour of how a rug is made from start to finish in India. How to get from the Naksha (graphic depiction of design) on right, to the finished rug on the left. Please click on links below to view each process in more detail.Learn More
